Marquees

Hiring a marquee offers a comfortable and stylish solution for any outdoor event within the Walled Garden.

Please be aware that we are offering the site only; it is the Hirer’s responsibility to organise a suitable marquee and any furniture, equipment and facilities that are required.

Please see our recommended list of marquee suppliers (PDF, 375kb).  If you wish to use a supplier that is not included on our existing list that company must provide us with the following information:

• Company name, address and main contact
• Structural calculations and dimensions
• Copy of Public Liability Insurance certificate
• Risk Assessment

Toilet Facilities

You must allow for the provision of mobile toilets for your function.  It is essential that existing public toilet facilities on site are not relied on.

Catering / Bar

You will need to provide details of your arrangements for event caterers and bar provision.

Please note that any organisation providing the bar must apply for a Temporary Event Notice in advance of your function - further information regarding this licence can be obtained from

Please be aware the finish time for any function at Upton Country Park, either inside the House or outside in the Walled Garden, must be no later than 12:00 midnight.

Please note if erecting a temporary structure - for example a marquee or staging - the one day exclusive hire fee below allows for one day set-up and one day de-rig either side.

Walled Garden Hire

The newly landscaped (2012) Walled Garden can accommodate up to a maximum of 800 people. It provides all the infrastructure you will need and a stunning, tropical backdrop to any event.

We offer exclusive use of the Walled Garden and Terrace between 1st May - 30th September:

• from 8.00am - midnight on the day of your event, and
• from 5.00pm - midnight on the day before and after your event.

On the day before and after your wedding / event you will have use of the lower Walled Garden only, with the upper garden and Terrace open to the public from 9am - 5pm.
