AUGUST

Get Up and Bounce!


1st - 31st August

10am - 3pm

On the Front Lawn

£4 / hour


Bring the children along to Upton Country Park to let off steam and have plenty of fun with Get Up and Bounce.

With a selection of inflatables and bouncy castles for all ages, this event provides great entertainment for the children during the summer holidays.

  • Every Friday until 26th August
  • Every Sunday until 28th August
  • Every Wednesday until 31st August

Please note dates may vary subject to poor weather – we recommend that you keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest information.

£4 for one hour of unlimited play on the front lawn.

Dark Age Dwelling demonstration

Upton House

FREE house tour


Upton House will open its doors to the public on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September in support of the Heritage Open Days* that are taking place nationwide over the weekend, with our Friends of Upton Country Park providing free tours of the House, including the basement and ground floor.

Built in 1816 Upton House forms the focal point of the estate and has long been a jewel in Poole’s crown, with the House and grounds being bequeathed to the people of Poole in the 1950s. During the tour, our guides will provide an insight into the history of the house, allowing you to discover facts about the Spurrier, Tichborne and Lewellin families and their time in residence at Upton House.

Should you wish to enjoy some refreshments in the beautiful surroundings of the Drawing Room at Upton House:

  •  A cream tea will be served at 11.30am following our morning tour (Saturday & Sunday) at £8 for two people
  •  An afternoon tea will be served at 3pm following our afternoon tour (Saturday only) at £12.50 for two people.

REGULAR ACTIVITIES AT UPTON  COUNTRY PARK

Nordic Walking Classes every Friday at 12.30pm and 1.30pm for 1 hour. A great low impact outdoor activity using Nordic Walking poles which provide stability whilst recruiting between 80-90% of the muscles in the body. £4 per session, meet in the main car park.

Free Health Walks The Poole Healthy Walks Scheme offers free short walks led by trained volunteer Walk Leaders. Every Friday at 12 noon and every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10am. All walks are 1 mile and offer gentle exercise. New walkers always welcome, just turn up and join in. Meet by the bus stop in the main car park.

Segway Tours Running throughout the year - a unique way to enjoy the Country Park! Take a guided Segway tour gliding through the beautiful gardens and woodland with a qualified instructor whilst you take in the abundance of plants and wildlife around you. Minimum age for a Segway tour is 12 years, and maximum group size is 6 per tour. Petanque every Wednesday & Sunday at 1.30pm. Meet at the Petanque terrain.
