Meet numerous wedding exhibitors covering all you will need or want from your special from photographers to florists and everything in between!

Take the opportunity to view magnificent splendour of Upton House and Grounds as a potential venue for your special day, with members of the Upton House Wedding Team and Borough of Poole Registrars on hand to discuss your requirements.

Entry is £2 for adults, free admission for accompanied children

Join in with a week of half term fun! Carve a pumpkin ready for entering in the Pumpkin Parade at the end of the week alongside spooky craft activities, crazy golf and more.

The Big Paint!


Wednesday 26th October

In the Walled Garden

£3 / £4 per child


Taking inspiration from the Lines of Thought Exhibition at Poole Museum, we invite children to take part in a day of arts and crafts during the half term, in our Walled Garden.

10am – 12 noon : Children can use their hands and feet to help create a giant masterpiece where art and movement is combined. There will even be a video recorded of the artwork as it develops will be shown later in the week at our Pumpkin Parade. £4 per child.

1pm, 2pm, 3pm : Create your own artwork sessions will allow children to make a collage and paint their own artwork to take home, with foraged items from Upton Country Park. £3 per child

All day : Take part in our art trail in and around the walled garden. Grab a spotter sheet and map to see what artwork you can find.

Activities are suitable for children 5+ years

* Spooky Hallowe'en crafts including wand making and create your own bat decoration.
* Fancy dress competition - judging at 2.30pm.

Upton House opens the doors for The Great Dorset Arts and Crafts Weekend, providing you with the opportunity to purchase a beautifully crafted treat for yourself or that extra-special Christmas gift. All items on sale are hand-made in Dorset, so this is the perfect to buy something a little different.

Children’s activities will be run by the RSPB and take place in the dining room of Upton House, in addition to tea/coffee, mulled wine and mince pies.

Entry is £1.50 for adults, children go free

REGULAR ACTIVITIES AT UPTON  COUNTRY PARK

Nordic Walking Classes every Friday at 12.30pm and 1.30pm for 1 hour. A great low impact outdoor activity using Nordic Walking poles which provide stability whilst recruiting between 80-90% of the muscles in the body. £4 per session, meet in the main car park.

Free Health Walks The Poole Healthy Walks Scheme offers free short walks led by trained volunteer Walk Leaders. Every Friday at 12 noon and every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10am. All walks are 1 mile and offer gentle exercise. New walkers always welcome, just turn up and join in. Meet by the bus stop in the main car park.

Segway Tours Running throughout the year - a unique way to enjoy the Country Park! Take a guided Segway tour gliding through the beautiful gardens and woodland with a qualified instructor whilst you take in the abundance of plants and wildlife around you. Minimum age for a Segway tour is 12 years, and maximum group size is 6 per tour.
